My Mission: To Help Small Businesses Navigate the Complex Maze of Online Marketing

I work with service-based small business owners, such as consultants, coaches, contractors, home service providers, and professional service firms, who know they need to be visible online but don’t want to waste time, money, or energy chasing marketing tactics that don’t fit their business.

If marketing has ever felt overwhelming, confusing, or disconnected from real results, you’re not alone. Most small business owners are trying to do too much with too little guidance. My job is to help you decrease overwhelm and focus on what actually works.

My goal is to:

In 2002, I started Vista Consulting, a successful marketing agency working with high technology companies and service-based businesses. I discovered my true passion in 2007 when I rebranded as Masterful Marketing®, a marketing coaching, consulting and small business marketing agency. The new brand targets small business owners, including independent professionals and entrepreneurs, to take control of their marketing and get better results.

The force behind Masterful Marketing® was seeing the difficulty many small business owners had with marketing. They wanted my help but were unable to justify the cost of a consultant.

Many times I had been approached by small business owners who would ask me if I could help them. I knew that my consulting business model did not cater to their needs or their budget. In addition, small business owners need a marketing system to help them stay focused and on track. So through my desire to help business owners build their businesses around their passions came Masterful Marketing®.

Masterful Marketing® has fulfilled my dream of helping many small businesses navigate the complex maze of online marketing. And now, as an authorized partner of the 90 Day Year® High Performance System, Masterful Marketing® has incorporated this powerful system into its signature service – the 3 Phase Masterful Marketing® Game Plan.

The freedom you gain by having your own business and being an entrepreneur is worth all the time, money and effort it takes to start and succeed as a small business owner. Nothing is more liberating than having control of your livelihood, income and destiny in life. I want to share what I’ve learned with others so they can be fulfilled and enjoy a lifestyle that works for them.

In my many years of working with small business owners, I have had to help them get out of difficult situations due to other agencies trying to hold them hostage. When you work with us, you will always be in control of your online assets, including your domain name, Google accounts, email accounts and social media profiles. Plus we remain completely objective when recommending solutions.

Other Ventures

• Mosaic Business Advisors is a management consulting firm comprised of a multidisciplinary and experienced group of business owners. We use our experience to provide in-depth and comprehensive advisory services to other business owners. Our mission is to serve owners of small to medium sized businesses with advice and guidance on how to overcome the obstacles and challenges facing small businesses, explore opportunities for growth and achieve their business goals.
• Kwon’s Martial Arts Center is a family friendly martial arts center that focuses on a person’s total well-being. In 2024, we transitioned the business entirely to Master Nguyen. The plan was always to do this and I’m glad we were finally able to achieve that goal.

• Business Network International (BNI). I’ve been a member since 2002, been awarded notable networker and serve on the leadership team.
• Marlborough Country Club. I’m been a member since 1982. I served on the Board of Directors from 2003 – 2015. After a short break, I returned to the board of directors in 2023.

Passions

Besides loving what I do for a living, I also have several other passions that command some of my attention. Balancing it all is what makes life fun and rewarding.

• Golf. I play as much as I can when the weather gets warm. Marlborough Country Club has been my home course for 42 years. I have won the club championship 8 times and am also a member of the Massachusetts Golf Association (MGA). I served on the MCC Board of Directors from 2003 through 2015 and have rejoined the board in 2023. And I finally got my first hole-in-one on July 2, 2022 and an eagle on Hole #2 par 5 on November 5, 2022!
• Fitness. I enjoy looking, feeling and acting younger than my years. Maintaining a fitness regimen helps me keep up with all the activities I get involved in. With my recent hip replacement, I’ve had to curtail my high impact activities. Now my usual workout includes power walking, strength training and I walk the golf course when I play.
• Socializing. To counter all that healthy living, I regularly enjoy good friends, good wine and great food.
• Technology. I call myself the closet geek. My background is in computer science and I love to play with gadgets. Developing WordPress web sites for my clients is a great way for me to lose track of time.
• Critters. I love all animals and currently have a cat family that keeps me company while I work from my home office.
• Kevin. Last but certainly not least, I have the best friendship with my husband of 30+ years. We understand each other and complement each others’ strengths.
