Thanks for your input. I used them for myself and a couple of my clients and I did notice that our profiles were submitted to many directories that I did not directly submit to myself. However, I have not paid them for another year for any of us as they don't appear to be overly active. I have not received any marketing from them reminding me to renew. And I agree, there should be some type of report that lets you know where your listings are and where they were not successfully submitted. But for $30, I don't feel it was a bad exercise especially for a new domain that is nowhere to be found.

UniversalBusinessListing.org is a scam. They don't provide any proof that their service works, have no kind of tracking and when you call their customer service they state they don't actually guarantee that your submissions will be accepted into a directory. We joined them in 2009 and did a little test to see if the made up word we posted in the profile UBL promised to submit showed up anywhere else. A year later and Google, Bing and Yahoo still have no records of that word in any directories.

Hey Chris,

I am so glad I found your service! I work with a lot of small businesses and this is now my easy recommendation to a very tedious exercise. I've got four clients using the service with a few others to be added and have told other web marketing people about it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the reference in your excellent article. To support what you suggest, many agencies choose to "claim" their listings on at least Google, even though UBL delivers there via aggregators like infoUSA. We make sure that the listings get to places such as Internet Yellow Pages, 411 Directory Assistance and Mobile/GPS Navigation devices - all increasingly important especially to businesses who use non-traditional phone lines like VOIP, cell and Skype (who doesn't!) We also include lots of enhanced details that help businesses get found on search engines - like brands carried, video links, social network links etc.

We are always ready to answer questions from knowledgeable potential clients.
